The Role Boat Rocker Studios is seeking a dynamic individual who takes initiative, feels passionately about their work and will support the Boat Rocker Finance team on a variety of tasks. Our ideal candidate is pursing a post secondary program in Finance or Accounting and is eager to learn about the media industry and the fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately process and record day to day financial transactions
Prepare and analyze financials, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
Improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency
Maintaining rights data and contract records across systems
Supporting licensing, distribution, and sales teams with rights details
Providing reporting and operational insights on rights status and utilization
Adhoc tasks or projects as assigned by the Finance and Rights Operation Team
Requirements
Pursing a degree in Business studies with an interest in Finance and Accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel and Word, or ERP tools
Possesses excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a problem-solving approach
Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
Strong ability to work both independently and as a team player
An enthusiasm and passion for TV and the media industry
Interns will have the opportunity to
Work with accounting software programs required to successfully execute the financial process behind producing global entertainment
Participate in meetings with various departments such as operations, production and corporate financial reporting

Salary: $17.60/hour
