Coordinator, Media Library - 6 Month Contract

The Coordinator, Media Library will report into the Senior Manager, Media Operations and will be responsible for editing and exporting a variety of audiovisual materials to ensure conformity of library assets.

  • Receive incoming assets from producers and ensure all required assets are delivered as per licence agreements
  • Run basic quality control tests to ensure assets conform to agreed delivery specifications
  • Transfer or copy media files between local and network storage
  • Rename files to ensure conformity of library assets
  • Back up files to LTO library
  • Consolidate analogue media assets from multiple business units into a single library
  • Create a catalogue of analogue media assets
  • Package and ship physical media assets for long-term storage at off-site facilities
  • Arrange for video tapes to be digitized at off-site facilities in accordance with Boat Rocker Rights requirements
  • Demonstrated experience using Adobe Premiere, MediaEncoder and Audition
  • Proven ability to use Avid MediaComposer, Adobe AfterEffects and Final Cut Compressor considered an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of video compression, video codecs and wrappers, 4K and Ultra-HD formats and broadcast audio standards
  • Experience performing multiple tasks in an environment with dynamic priorities
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as required
  • Fluently bilingual considered an asset
