Intern, Crooked Horse Development

FALL/WINTER INTERNSHIP: SEPTEMBER – DECEMBER

We are looking for a dynamic individual who takes initiative, feels passionately about their work and will support the Factual Development team at Crooked Horse Productions on a variety of new and ongoing projects. Our ideal candidate has previous exposure to the industry, and is eager to learn and adapt to the fast-paced, ever changing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managing the department’s administrative needs
  • Coordinating travel and meetings
  • Development research as requested
  • Supporting ongoing production matters as needed
  • Assisting and liaising with other departments and teams
  • Basic casting research and outreach as needed
  • Covering front reception / answering phones on occasion as needed
REQUIREMENTS
  • Preferably someone with a Radio, TV, Film or Journalism background
  • Candidate must be passionate about Factual content
  • Excited and motivated researcher
  • A self-starter with a keen interest to learn
  • A people person with the ability to communicate
    confidently and professionally in person, via telephone and via e-mail
  • Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and problem-solving approach
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone and chase a story
  • Passion for story telling
  • Familiar with Crooked Horse’s Factual slate
  • Competence in Microsoft Office products
  • Helpful to have a basic background or understanding of post-production work. (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut etc.)
INTERNS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO

    connections and gain exposure to different opportunities within
    the industry
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • 3 month internship that will start in September and
    end in December
  • Compensation will be discussed with the successful
    candidate
